1305. PrEParing for success: An intervention to increase HIV prevention awareness among internal medicine residents.

Abstract Background PrEP (Pre-Exposure Prophylaxis) is a strategy that involves combination of antiretrovirals medications aimed to reduce HIV transmission among at-risk individuals. The purpose this quality improvement project increase internal medicine residents' knowledge and prescribing PrEP. Methods We administered an anonymous paper survey residents at all stages training our suburban community hospital in the Hudson Valley, NY summer 2021 during academic half-day their ambulatory block rotation. consisted questions about residents’ demographics, knowledge, previous Following participants were given 1-hour lecture by authors on sexual history including indications, available options, dosing, monitoring, side effects, access therapy.
